Reflecting on reflective practic

One of the most powerful tools in a teacher’s quest for professional development is the ability to reflect on their lessons, to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and to come up with ideas for how to improve the problems they are having or address the problems students are having. This is why self evaluation is a key component of many teacher development courses, such as CELTA or Delta.
This session will explore ways we can go about this, on or off a course, the areas we might look at, and the techniques or tools we might use. We will also look at what to do when we have identified the issues we want to address.
